If you are paddling, especially in the Winter and during high fast flowing water always wear a BA and make sure that you are able to both self rescue or assist in a rescue if needed. If you are unsure or don’t know then dontgo out. also even if confident always let someone know where you are going and how long you will be. If you can take a mobile phone with you in a waterproof container.
