A Warm Welcome to B.E.D. New Members
We would like to give you a very big welcome to Bristol (& Bath) Empire Dragons, one of the leading dragon boat racing clubs in the UK. Our dragon boat club offers members many opportunities, including developing new skills, improving fitness, and meeting new people through the exciting sport of dragon boat racing. Some members join for social reasons, while others seek the thrill of competitive dragon boat racing competitions. A number of our members have proudly represented Great Britain at international dragon boat racing events and participate in national squad training sessions.
It really is up to you to decide how seriously you want to take the sport! When you join Bristol Empire Dragons, we will link you with a buddy to help you settle into the team and answer any questions you may have. Most importantly, we want you to enjoy your time with us and have a truly rewarding experience in the world of dragon boat racing. Whether you're interested in fitness through dragon boating or competing at national and international events, our team is here to support you. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the exciting world of dragon boat racing in Bristol and Bath!

It's the people that make the team and ours bring talent, energy commitment or just a great sense of humor!
Conduct, equality, inclusion
The club expects its members to show respect towards each other and to demonstrate supportiveness towards other paddlers.
We are an inclusive club, allowing for and encouraging all ages, ethnicities, sexual orientation and disabilities. As such we expect behaviours and language to reflect this and expect members to encourage participation from all these groups.
Any contravention of the above should be reported to a member of the Committee.
*Note: We have a 3 strikes rule for any club member that doesn't comply to our club standards. Serious matters could lead to instant dismissal, subject to discretion of the committee and advise from BDA.
